PLEASE READ CAREFULLY THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND THE FAQs BEFORE YOUR REGISTRATION. IF YOU DO NOT ACCEPT THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER.

1.Eligibility
a)
To be eligible, you must be a citizen or a Permanent Resident or a valid student / employment pass holder of either Singapore or Malaysia.

b)
You need to have minimum academic qualifications and good grades in the subjects that you wish to teach.

2.Commission
a)
A one-time commission will be charged for any job offer that you accept. The commission payable is equivalent to 2 weeks' of tuition fees. PRIVATE HOME TUTOR is authorized to collect the commission directly from the parents, two weeks after the commencement of your tuition lessons.

b)
All commissions must be paid not later than the forth week of commencement of class. Any delay of payment may result in the suspension of your account. PRIVATE HOME TUTOR reserves the right to take appropriate actions to recover any commissions from you.

c)
The students / parents will pay the tuition fees for the remaining weeks of the first month directly to the tutor upon completion of all lessons for the first month. For subsequent month, the students / parents will then pay the full sum of tuition fees directly to the tutor.

d)
If we have not received the commission after 30 days due to your fault, your account will be automatically terminated. When an account is deleted from our system, your name may be blacklisted on the front page of PRIVATE HOME TUTOR.

e)
PRIVATE HOME TUTOR will not be liable for any conflict or disagreement between the tutors and students / parents. We will also not be responsible for any form of damage caused in connection with your use of our website.

f)
If you fail to pay the commission without any notice, we reserve the right to suspend the class.

g)
Any attempt to cheat or deprive PRIVATE HOME TUTOR of its legal share of commission, will result in legal actions being taken.

3.Termination/Cancellation of Assignment
a)
In the event where you are unable to attend the tuition, a prior notice of 48 hours before the lesson starts, must be given to the students/parents.
A valid reason must also be given on notification. The tutor will be excused if the students/parents accept your explanation.
If you fail to notify or provide a valid reason of your cancellation, your registration as a tutor with PRIVATE HOME TUTOR will be revoked and an administrative charge of 50% of the monthly tuition fees will be imposed.

b)
The minimum commitment time frame is 1 month. In the event where you terminate an assignment within the first month, PRIVATE HOME TUTOR will recover its legal share commission of 50% of the monthly fees from you.

c)
In the event where the student prematurely terminates the assignment during the first month, you will only receive 50% of the payment for all your service hours.
However, if the reason for the student's termination is due to your fault as a tutor (eg. you are often late, did not attend lesson without any valid explanation, you can't teach well), you will bear the full commission charge.

4.Disclaimer
PRIVATE HOME TUTOR is a tutor referral agency only and is not responsible for the services provided by tutors. Each tutor is solely responsible in offering tuition fees, arranging tutorial schedules, paying all taxes on income earned, and all other issues and responsibilities related to tutoring. PRIVATE HOME TUTOR does not keep records of the number of students and sessions taken by the registered tutors.
PRIVATE HOME TUTOR will not act as an arbitrator or mediator for any conflicts or disagreements that arise between the tutor and the student. However, we are always prepared to offer our views and suggestions.
PRIVATE HOME TUTORE reserves the right to add, modify or delete any information on this website at any time without notice.
You are solely responsible for the information provided to PRIVATE HOME TUTOR. PRIVATE HOME TUTOR shall not be liable for any misrepresentation, fraud, or inaccuracies of information provided by you.
The entire risk as to the quality, accuracy, adequacy, completeness, correctness and validity of any material rests with you. 1. What is the service that Private Home Tutor provide ?
Private Home Tutor provides a home tuition matching service, where we help parents or students to find their home tutor. Concurrently, we also help the tutors to find tuition jobs.

2. Where and when is the tuition class?
You can choose the tuition location as well as the time. It can be anywhere to your convenience like your house, office, hostel etc.

3. How many students will there be in a class?
The choice is yours. It can be 1-to-1 tuition or group tuition.

For Parents and Students

1. How do I engage a private home tuition tutor through Private Home Tutor ?
Fill up the form at our Request for Tutor page.
Email to tutorsatya@yahoo.com or Email Us. We will call you to verify and confirm your request details before shortlisting tutors for you.

2. Do I have to pay Private Home Tutor for the service?
No, our matching service is totally free for students or parents. We however require you to deposit 50% of the 1st month fees to us. The balance 50% will be paid by you to the tutor at the end of the month. The fee's for the following months will be paid directly to your tutors.

3. How long does it take to get a tutor after submitting a request?
Firstly, we will call to confirm your request within 2 working days. Then, a suitable tutor will be short-listed within another 4 working days. In other words, you can have a suitable tutor within 6 working days.

4. Can I change the tutor if I find that he or she is not suitable?
Yes. If you are not satisfied with the tutor, you can change the tutor without any charges. However, you need to pay the tuition fees for all tuition sessions given by the tutor unless the tutor agreed to provide free trial classes.

5. Can I have a replacement class if I miss the tuition class?
Replacement class can be made with prior notice and discussion with the tuition teacher. Tuition Fees will not be charged for the missing class.

6. Are the tutors our employees?
No. Private Home Tutor does not employ any tutor. We only provide matching service. Thus, we are not responsible for any misconduct by the tutors.

7. Who are the tutors?
Experienced educators, lecturers, professional tutors, scholarship holders, high achievers and top scorers. The tutors are short-listed from the thousands applications we receive each month. You can request from us for a detailed tutor profile of the tutor before the 1st lesson.

8. How much do the tutors charge?
This is highly dependent on your search criteria for a tutor and would different from individual to individual. You may refer to our tuition rate page. Of course, it is just a guide and is subjected to changes.

9. How is the timetable scheduled?
The timetable can be flexible as per your requirements and is negotiable with the tutor.

For Tutors

1. How do I register myself as a private home tutor?
You may register at our Register as Tutor page. Registration process should take less than 10 minutes.

2. Do I have to pay for the registration ?
No, registration as a tutor is free of charge.

3. What are the benefits to register as a tutor?
Once you are registered as a tutor, you are entitled to enjoy the following benefits:

4. Do I have to pay Private Home Tutor for the referral service?
Yes 50% of the first full month's (or first 4 weeks) tuition fee is the commission fees. This fees will be paid by the parents as a deposit. So you will get only the balance 50% fees for the 1st month. The fees for the subsequent month is yours 100%.

Referral Program

Earn extra Income by recommending us to the parents. If the parents agree to hire our tutors, we will pay you RM50 as referral fees. You must be a registered tutor.

How does it work?

If you know any of your friends who is looking for a home tutor, then please ask them to register at our website.
Send me an email (tutorsatya@yahoo.com) on the parents name and contact number.
We will contact them in a couple of days. If the tuition is confirm, we will bank in RM50 to your bank account if the parents agree to hire our tutor as a referral commission.

Tuition Rates

The tuition rates in this table serve as a guide for students and parents in KL and Klang Valley. The charges vary for the same level and combination due to:

- Tutors' Experience
- Location
- Qualification

How to calculate the monthly fees?

For example, if the tuition teacher charges Rm30 per hour; and you choose to have classes twice a week; 2 hours for each class, the monthly tuition fees should be

RM 30 X 2(Frequency) X 2(Hours) x 4(Weeks) = RM480

No matter how many tuition subjects are taken, the tuition fees remain the same as it is calculated per hour. The tuition rates above only serve as guidelines. Private Home Tutor plays no part in determining the rates. It's the tutor who offer the rate.

The fees are out of your budget?

We suggest you to find 1 or 2 students to join the tuition class and share the tuition fees. If you have more people in a class then the tuition fees can be shared by all. Do contact us for further details and we have various suggestions to suit your budget.
